UPDATED 02/02/02

Check out the attached link for more info on the Saltwater Edge Fly Show this year.

This is an incredible show, intimate in size but with a ton of access to the presenters. Last year I was fortunate enough to speak with and learn from Gartside, Armand Couchraine & I think Alan Caolo.

This year Capt. Ray will be there as well as Ken Abrames, Capt. Todd Murphy, Joe Codeiro, Capt. Gil Berke & Capt. Eric Thomas of the Saltwater Edge.

The Saltwater Edge also runs a raffle to support Save the Bay and CCA. If you were ever going to enter a raffle, this would be the one. Last year prizes were Simms waders, complete Sage rod & reel outfits, etc... All proceeds go to Save the Bay & CCA.

Umpqua one package each of every fly tying material in the catalog
Sage RPLXi 3 piece fly rod of your choice 8,9 or 10 wt
Patagonia Deep Wading Jacket
Action Optics Sunglasses
Air Flo Multi Tip Fly Line
JW Outfitters Surf Satchel
Rio Striper Fly Line
Orvis RLS Fly Selection
Simms Windstopper Gloves
Abel Perfect Tool

We'll be there as well, not quite sure what we'll be doing.

Hope to see you there!

I'll be there for CCA selling tickets for the raffles with Kent Jackson and Harry Graff, If any members would like to help out in selling tickets, let either Kent or myself know. Even if you come to the event and spend a half hour or an hour selling, and then spend the rest of the time enjoying the show, it would help BIG TIME.
The talent at this event is incredible, and we should thank our lucky stars that the Saltwater Edge is donating a portion of the proceeds from this event to CCA.
So, if you can help in selling tickets, Call me @ 617-543-8354, or at least show up, enjoy the show and PLEASE buy a bunch of tickets;)

Thanks for the heads up! Might be a good taking for me & my Dad? Maybe I'll be a little less busy by then?

Also, on that Site, the "Fly of the Month" looks pretty Tastey!

Peter Jenkins is a great guy and it's a great time down there at his gorgeous shop in Newport. One thing that gets me going is the difference in climate from Boston to Newport RI... they're much closer to spring and you can feel it in your bones.

Peter has graciously invited the Forum to participate and we are honored to attend. Take a look at last year's photo gallery and hope to see you there!

Thanks for the info, Roop. I think my folks are visiting that weekend, but I'll check and get back to you either way.

Will you be needing any help with the forum's participation at the event?
