Got the following email below. I won't be able to make it(!) but thought some of you might be interested in going to see ththing.

A striped bass symposium is being organized for the AFS 2002 meeting in Baltimore. We are seeking your input for oral and poster presentations. New and innovative research efforts concerning striped bass are encouraged. Topical areas may include, but not be limited to, growth and development, genetics, population modeling, disease and fish health, food web analyses, movement and migration, and proposed passage or restoration projects. If there is enough interest, we would like to offer a combination oral/poster symposium format.

If you are interested in possible participation in this symposium, please send a title (and abstract, if available) and names/affiliations of authors to either or the organizers listed below. Also, please indicate your desire for poster or oral presentation.

Thanks Mylo! Sounds interesting. My presentation on food web analyses would be a bit jaded... the striped bass in open shoreline habitats tend to turn their focus from a primary forage of sand eels and silversides to juvenile menhaden patterns in the 6 hackle / angel hair variety after mid-August...
