Many people have prepaid the Rip Trip and new people have recently signed up. I believe we are going to do two trips this month:

September 8/9th and
September 22/23rd

Any interest?

I am currently in neither category, but I'd be interested in and am available for both Sundays. I'll try to wander over and add my name to the official list.

Okay, I'm officially on the list now.

Is anyone else interested in a DIY kayak "rip trip" either at the same time as a motorized one or on another date?

Don -

Thanks, the online thing makes organizing these trips manageable.

Look forward to seeing you again!

Your gonna need a towtruck to get me off the N.M. flats, but a rip trip is the way to do it. I'm in, although, Juro, could you confirm for me, is my payment gone, if so I'll paypal again, Thanks

As long as you haven't gone yet, your payment is still in the paypal account. You're IN as far as I know, I will check the account tonight.

Time to make a choice... cancel or split the extra...

the boat is $300 for the rip trip, 10 persons are 30 ea, 7 persons are $42 ea

I'm good with the splitting the extra-I have 2 guys that might be interested if I could give them a date.

If you can do this Sunday and have two friends interested, that would be 9 riders so it would only be a little bit more than normal.

Don can only do Sunday, so the date would be Sept 9th. If you have to do Saturday, then tomorrow Sept 8th but the total riders will be 8 instead of 9.

The 22nd is also a good tide for this trip; the 23rd would be the back-up date.

If your friends are good to go I will call Keith and book it!

Looks like a GO for Sunday @ $37.50

I will be on the computer through the day tomorrow so if anyone else can make it just chime in.

Craig Miller will be the chaperone - in other words if you have questions once you're out there he's got the answers.

Look for more info tonight or tomorrow

What Time Does the Boat Leave? I may be able to make it (& help reduce the cost). That is of course if I blow off the CC-Bay Scout!

Boat leaves at 7am, you should be at the causeway around 6:30.

Hope you can make it!

It looks like you may still have a couple spots for Sunday's trip. I and Brandon may be able to make it, he's been anxious to go out too. We wanted to go last weekend too, But I still haven't found kids waders. The best I have found so far is a women's small. Not sure he can stay out there all day in the surf with a swim suit and water shoes. This is probably the best time of year for water warmth I'd imagine. What do you think too cold for him to not have waders or not?
What's the water temperature been there any idea?

Thanks,
Greg.

I see you have to be
there at 6:30 for the shuttle.

Just spoke with Rip Ryder, due to the strong winds we will not be going to the point rip -

But instead, we will be able to go to the North Tip of the South Island for the regular fare!

If you are interested in this opportunity Reply to me via email or better yet post your interest HERE!

Brian Casey and friend are already in, so am I making three for starters. Craig is out, but I need to find out who else on the Original Rip trip list is interested RIGHT AWAY.

This is a first time opportunity, I've never done it and although I have been taking a work weekend I can't pass this up.

Once again the trip is now directed at the north tip of south monomoy, $10 per rider, max 12 riders.

Flats to the west, sheltered oceanside (southwest winds) to the east. Should be spectacular.

It's important that you let me know right away.

Greg -

Although I would not recommend the expansive west side flats with your son, the east corner is very accomodating as long as Brandon does not wade deeply into the current. The shore is accomodating otherwise and the fishing has been very good. In summary if you and he practice good sense this would be quite an ideal trip for you two; much more accomodating than the big rip at the tip.

Well it sounds like fun to me, I'm sure Brandon will have fun too. Please put us down for it, it should be a great experience he won't soon forget. He asked a couple of times now to go back to washburn Island and camp again.

Thanks,
Greg.

To confirm the cell conversation, I'm in for the new venue. I'll put that extra hour to good use, though I'm not yet sure whether that means more sleep or more tying.

Be there at 7:30 or be square!

Flats to the west side, inlet to the east - should be one of the most varied opportunities in such a small area on the whole cape.
