: Durham NH .. Plum Island or other?

I'll be in Durham NH for a few days around Sept 23 and would like to fish the salt for a few days if possible. I have never fished up that way. Any simple recommendations for places that I might be able to access on foot, appropriate ties (length, color) for that time of year, and will I need my Teeny 350? (I usually fished beaches and cliffs with an intermediate + looped tips.) I used to fish RI a bit, but moved west to Oregon a few years ago, and am excited to return east for a few days and have a chance to tangle with old linesides again. any help welcome, and I won't be keepin' any at all.

thanks, Steve

You'll be there for the tail end of the fall migration in NH. There were large fish in good numbers right into early Oct. The fish are feeding on the small (3-5") herring and shad that fall out of the rivers late Aug-Sept. Any pattern that imitates them is fine. Drive Rt 1A along the ocean front, almost any time of day or tide, between Portsmouth and Hampton and look for gulls circling over schools of fish.
