Right!!! just getting ready for the season... thought I would worm up the board for the comming year... need a different topic from the usual at this time of year.

Well, there is a fiction contest going on... haven't detected any entries yet.

I don't know. I kind of suspected your scarey experience.

John -

Read you headline this morning, didn't even have time to open up the tread to see its content. Had the gear in the car, called in sick on the cell phone while driving the 1 1/2 treck. Got to the light, don my waders and took off for the gurl bar. Waded for 1/2 hrs. Froze my (Let's just say, like a Harry Koons fly. No luck.

Stopped at one of those coffee houses on-line shops to warm up. That's when I found out that this whole episode was a hoax.

PS. Stopped by the Chatham Angler's Society Clubhouse. Made a deposit.

Ray, there are no fish at the big girl bar at this time of year... you have to go to the left of the stairs ,by the rocks, that's were they hang out... you know that. Thanks for the deposit, I have such problems with the sandy soil that it should help the roses in the spring.

Due to the winter storms, I heard big girl moved a little ways down the shoreline. Take exit #7 and look for the fire hydrant. Take a left at the right turn only sign and double back toward the other one way you didn't take on the highway you just got off from. That puts you about face to the south / northeast meridian. Two lefts past the second right there's a path you can drive down to the water on with or without a non-resident sticker or a resident sticker, doesn't matter. I forget the name of the town.

Thanks John... I'll have to check out your fishing tip after work today. Need to fill up the gas tank first.

You're not trying to trick me again,... again.... and again.. are you?

01-24-2001, 11:31 AM
OK Juro, that's going to far, you just gave out the most secret of places right here on the web. What's got into you. Ray , don't go , it's a Hoax, (wink--wink--wink), there are no fish there(wink). I was not there... oh, by the way ,if you do, would you look for a boga grip I left last night . It must have been the excitement.

01-24-2001, 11:58 AM
Juro is talking about Bass River. Everyone knows they winter over there, and then in the spring they turn on right about the time we arrive.

Does anyone work in corporate America any more?

Ray -

I had the same question for you during tunoid season!

Just to let you know I AM working. Thats the beauty of being the Principal Engineer, I write the test plans.

Test LAN & Modem cards by connecting to the internet. Logon to test and verify connection via post capabilities. What a country!

01-24-2001, 02:22 PM
Well, I better keep my head down... but maybe, just maybe Ray really did make that trip. I'll check my yard.

01-24-2001, 02:44 PM
This is only Wednesday?

Just think of what Saturday is going to be like. Especially once Jack Daniel's joins us.

I'm afraid to show up for the slide show. I might be the target for a lot of hecklers. But I'll be there, popper scooper and all.

Ray -

If you're bringin' memories of water that is not in a solid form and the finned freinds we love to chase, I doubt there will be any heckling.

01-24-2001, 02:56 PM
Hey Juro -

No heckling.... than I'm going home. Well,... I might just go to Chatham Light and gets some fish'in in.

01-24-2001, 11:45 PM
John. I think one of two things happened to you.
1- You dunked your latest fly creation in PeatWater and sucked on it all night, repeating the process over and over on the pretense that you wanted to see how it would swim
2- You are having a WF dream and this will all disapear when you wake up, even the warm wet feeling that you think is salty water in August will turn out to be your dog licking your hand to wake you up

Pete, thanks I needed someone to figure all this out. I am ok now, I was going though a difficult 24 hours. back to reality.
