I couldn't figure out why there was no action on the board today, then I realized that it was Rip Trip II day. I am pretty bummed to be sitting at work as opposed to in the rip. I hope you guys are killing them. Good luck tomorrow as well, for those that are going. I can't believe I had to give my spot up. Oh well there's always the Bone Clave!

Nick - Don't worry, you're not alone. However I do plan on being up at 4am tomorrow to hit Waquoit from the Kayak, maybe even tonight.

You will likely see Mike and I at Wacky overnight tonight. We will be flinging flies but the main mission (oh I can't believe I'm saying this on this board. http://188.8.131.52/images/flytalk/Happy.gif) will be shark. From there it's off to Chatham for Rip Trip III.

I'll be on the jetty unless it's crowded then I'll be in the inflatable kayak. You aren't talking about sharks around wacky are you? I know there are brown sharks and dogfish but I don't think you'd be going after those. If there's something else there I may have to get a biggr boat.

First of all we haven't got a clue what we are doing but thought it would be a fun change of pace. We really don't have a target species but our research shows that if we get one it will likely be a sandbar shark which I think are also known as brown sharks. We just had a last minute plan change and we'll be at the Bass River tonight.
Why would you not think we would be going after browns? Do you know something we don't?

No, I've just never heard of anyone targeting them. They are definitely a good fight and change of pace. I run into them occasionally on flats on the south side.
