Hi Jen & Al,

Nice picture of a great family activiy. Like Alton's form in the roll cast. Never to young to "start em." My son, Scott is fourteen now and has caught his share of legals.

No up-grading here. Alton's difinitely keeper.

Uhhh, honey, you weren't supposed to give away the secret lawn trout spot. Now we'll have every LTFFer in the tri state area looking for greener pastures.....

Hi Jen & Al

Nice family activity. Never to young to "start em."

My son Scott, who is fourteen now, has caught his share of legals. Learned the same age.

Alton has the genes. No up-grading here. He's difinitely a keeper.

Things to do when you can't fish?

Hmmm let's see...I know: Bicker and argue about who killed who on the web boards all winter long! http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif

Al/Jen: Interested to know how you set up the kids rod? I've been thinking of using a little spinning rod for my son.

As I've heard it described that is a piece of twine tied to the tip section of a 7wt. This happens to be the ideal setup for the lawn trout.

Yup, the tip off my trusty 7 wt. This is actually a $20 rod from Benny's in Wareham, so I'm not too attached to it. But it's great for largemouth, finicky stripers, and yes, the elusive lawn trout.

Hi Jen, & Al, If you keep that up you won't be able to leave him at Grandma's. Won't be long & it will be a family striper clave.
