Boy, I'd really like a chance to stretch a line this weekend. I'm tired of airplanes, airports, meetings and tradeshows. Is there truth to the rumor that the Chatham anglers society and good vibes club is going to be in session? My second best option would be to dust off those 16oz chrome cod flies and take DH out for some bottom bouncing......

The rumors are true, Bob. We're a little fuzzy on the organization, but we'd love to see you throwing the long wand with us. Wish I could make it Friday night. Earliest I can get to the Cape would be 10 AM Saturday. Last of outgoing at Hardings is looking good and then on to the rock piles at Chatham light. Hope to see you before the Stony Brook clave.

Bob, the rumor is true... pretty informal. .drop in etc.. Juro and Roop volunteered to show me the basics of fly tieing. See the other thread on the weekend. Can't tell who will show up so no big deal, just a meeting place, etc for anyone who wants.

Since John is already en route to the Chatham Angling Society HQ, I'll chime in...

There will be a scotch tasting / fly tying session at John's Friday night, which will run into a dawn sortie at the light. Top of the tide at dawn, but the point should get some current and although the tide is lousy late fall migrants will most likely be by for some sand eel appetizers. If the wind kicks, I'll fish in the shelter of the rocks and think about the southside of Morris, Hardings or move on to south sound favorites after an espresso at Monomoy Cafe.

We plan to gather for a farewell luncheon of native local steamers, probably at Squires.

It would be great to have you on the crew!

BTW -

Everyone is welcome, we just need to get an idea of headcount ahead of time... please REPLY!

Ray, Greg, and myself are in for the luncheon thing at Squires AND I'm 95% sure we'll be getting there close to dawn on Saturday.

Juro,
I'm not gonna be able to make it after all. A friend is coming to town and I must stay home. I would make the run down in the morning, but I think that is a little ambitious considering the havoc that a few bars downtown can have. :-o Get one last cow for me.

Greg,
Its always a problem in my life, sacrificing night life for morning life http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif" border="0" align="middle">. There have been a couple 3 am drives to the cape, etc. that shouldn't have been. Guess those are the sacrifices we have to make though. <img src="http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Happy.gif.
