You had to work for them because of the big tide rip, and wait for the seals to move away but they were in there.

Boot stay sandproof? How was it walking out and back in, comfortable? Nice looking fish, hope to be "on cape" most of July and maybe we can meet up sometime?
Boot stays 100% sandproof until the neoprene wrister flips up over the edge, even in surf. Hence the need to sew them together so they will be like my previous sand-proof boots.
Very comfortable and good support but I am lucky that the wader has goretex feet (vs. neoprene) because I did not buy them big enough (+1 size). For use with neoprene stocking feet you'd have to go bigger like maybe 2 full sizes bigger although I can't say for sure.
Jury's still out on the goretex feet durability. I had some before from another brand and they leaked where neoprenes have last 4-5 years. We shall see.
Comfort of fabric vs neoprene is a function of the boot. The cushy liner of a neoprene boot and fabric feet are heaven on the feet but using a hard/stiff boot causes creases in the fabric that are uncomfortable. Neoprene stocking feet pads a stiff boot and are comfy. Neoprene over neoprene with good support around the foot and arch with a good hard sole (like you see on Merrill sandals) is the ultimate for my tastes. That's essentially what I had for the past several years until they fell apart.
I am amazed at how comfortable the OS Systems waders are overall. The US Navy Seals use some damn good gear.
One more point - the wrister tapers so narrow on one end that it's a little too tight to remove easily after fishing so I am going to cut it back so it still compresses around the lower shin but is not too tight to remove easily. That diameter may differ person by person.

Brings to mind Big Girl, fall of 2000.
Left to right, Roop, Bigcat, I forget...
About a half hour later 4 or 5 were hooked up to 40"+ fish almost simultaneously.
Bigcat! Long time buddy...
Fred yes I remember it well. After landing cows consistently there I went on record talking about it and was met with an encore of people on RT saying I was full of ****.
Back in the days when the mention of the word "clave" used to get people up in arms and jokes about decoder rings et al were the rage :) So we held the clave according to the same tides I had been having success with, and the gang landed (or at least hooked) several 40" fish between dawn and the parking limit of 9am on flies from shore.
Good times indeed
Then there was the mecca....
