It was 80-85 every day on Andros the 2 weeks I was there. Acklins was probably pretty similar.

I second that, Vince - curious what make/model you have. Canon I would guess, and some cleanup w/ photoshop / Imageready?

thanks guys.

I finally stepped up to a dslr--nikon d3100. I used the program viewnx2 that came with the camera to touch up.

The one of Garrett holding the bone is with my pocket olympus.

Juro: It was great to get back to Acklins. I had not been there since the trip in 2006 when I met you. Vince did a great job with everything. Ivel's has to have the nicest rooms, etc of any out-island operation.

Also, YES, YES, YES...I am ready to get on with the mission. Looking at the flats from Google Earth there is so much ground to exlplore between East and South Caicos..

Great pix. Do you put the slr in a knapsack and put on and off all day while wading? Logistically how do you do it? And nice exposure comp. Do you find you need a lot with that camera in bright sun? Fill ? Thanks.

I carried the camera in an ortlieb waterproof case. Very light and worked well.

I also used a ploarizing filter.
