: D Andrew McGill rod - Help, Please

Can anyone help me out with any details of a rod I recently bought, please.

It is an 8ft 6" fly rod in two pieces. Made of Carbon fibre(graphite) rated #6/7, dark brown in colour and made by D Andrew McGill.

I have done a wee bit of searching on the web but all I can find are 4 piece rods. I know that this rodmaker is based in Colorado and is quite famous in American circles.

The action of the rod is really nice and progressive. Much more like some of the old fibre glass trout rods I used to have. I intend using it for river torut fishing this season

I tried it out and it casts very well with a Rio Nymph Tip #6 which I like for a lot of my fishing. The unusal thing about it is that it has an overlay of graphite just above but separate from the rod handle. An unusual design feature I have never seen before.

How much would it have retailed for originally is my question? I think it may be at least 10 years old. It came with an unmarked black rod bag.
