: Rip tide charts....

After reading the plans for rip trips over the years, I've often wondered what tide tables you guys use to determine the tidal stage down there. I have yet to find one that actually shows that particular spot.

Do you add/subtract time from another known location? Just curious...

There is only one site I have used, or needed for years:

http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/

(two Monomoy Point listings but you can just estimate relative to area)

Wow, how have I never come across that site? What a powerful set of options and tides....my only dislike is that the location listing has some randomness to it.

Thanks for the tip Juro.

I'm addicted to the graphical plot option. It's like what - read text when I can look at pictures??

I am eventually going to use their API to embed the charts in to the forum but with hyperlinking being so easy I haven't had the impetus thus far.

I use a site called fishweather.com. I don't subscribe but you can view the wind speed page and the tidal current page. If you roll the curser over Monomoy Pt. on the tidal current page a popup box will appear for Pollock Rip. Since Pollock Rip is close to the Point I have found it pretty accurate for Point Rip.

Hope you find this usefull. Was down there this past Sunday and Monday and had quite a bit of fun (up to 30")
