Thunder but no threatening lightning, so I went out in the downpours. With the SW wind it was not cold. Schoolies inside the refuge and out on the oceanside but no sight fishing in these conditions. Big girl bar very interesting this spring. Inside churned up today.
Found more schoolies outside than inside although reports of many bass in the refuge have been heard. Clave dates should be very good as it appears now.
Hope to try the bayside tomorrow en route to mothers day dinner.

This time of year seems almost impossible for sight fishing.. too too much wind and rain. BTW, what is the "Big Girl Bar"?

It is actually a secret room at the back of the Squire. You need to know the secret password to get in. :lildevl:

Funny I never noticed the Girl in the back... & I have been there many times. I even have my old NY License plate hanging (FLYFISH2)

The secret password is my Marine Corps smooth come-on: "Gee, for a big girl you don't sweat much".
