Red winged blackbirds! :lildevl:

I saw several red wing blackbirds a couple of weeks ago along the lake shore.
Rumors are spreading rapidly, there are fresh lice covered schoolies in Buzzards Bay.I personally have not confirmed.:chuckle:

Wasn't it you who believed in the Cherry Blossom theory??? I guess you haven't driven by the East Harwich Plaza (400 East pub). Two Cherry trees in full bloom over this past weekend.

Well I'd better get off my butt and get scouting... thanks Keith.

For those who haven't been signed up on the forum long enough to have heard the annual chatter I was told that the thick perennial trees seem to bloom when there are significant numbers of stripers around, for instance they're blooming their way up the coast as we speak (cherry blossom festival was last weekend in DC). It's been dead-on for me. The apple trees (mostly white) are in full bloom now, not too much longer before all the cherry trees (mostly pink) go into bloom.

I'm sure there have already been a some fish around the usual early Cape Cod spots like Buttermilk Bay, Vineyard / Nantucket Sound, and holdovers are probably eating ravenously to recover in salt ponds and estuaries. The guys in CT and RI are having very good action already says the grapevine.
