What is the average life expectancy of fly lines?
Do any noticeably "age" better than others?
I am in the process of dragging my fly fishing stuff outta the mothballs.
Have not been used in 5 years.(Please don't ask!)
9 wt. intermediate and 9 wt. sink tip.
10 wt. intermediate and a 10 wt. sink tip.
Not sure of brands...will check.
I believe that the 10 wt. lines are RIO.
Should I be getting ready to buy 4 new lines....and backing?( Crap! I'll go broke....DOH!! Already am!):Eyecrazy:
Thanks in advance.

Welcome back in one piece Doug! Your lines are fine. They just need a good stretching when the cows come home.

Coming to the spring clave?

I'd love to go to any clave.
Unfortunately, at the present time I am living in Maine.....unemployed and "homeless". Still trying to land a job in Massachusetts....so I may move back to Massachusetts. Over 200 resumes sent out in a year...just 2 interviews.
If I could only stretch myself out like an old flyline, I'd be all set.
"One piece"...pfft....that would be my 10 wt. GLoomis Cross Current.
Thanks for the reply.
