I saw today on the Globe site - 1 fish a day 20" to 26" or 40"+

what do people think of this ?

I'd prefer 'one for the table' to be in the lower slot, but those that take the trophies are taking the big spawners aren't they ?

or does female striper reproduction tail off after 40 ?

Mark.

Mark, is that a confirmed new regulation, or a proposal? If so, what does that do for the commercials? Still, 34 inches plus?

Personally, I think that is/would be a giant leap forward. Forty-inch stripers are indeed still breeders.

Jim, it's a bill before the state house. Sponsored by stripers forever, it bans commercial fishing in state waters.

That would be awesome if it passed!
