Several years ago I stayed in some cabins upstream of the covered bridge at Routhierville. Does anyone know if they are still in business? Has anyone stayed in them in the recent past and what shape the are in.

The former Auberge de la montagne is closed, I believe there is a private owner of those now with few in active service for friends. It is walking/fishing distance from the bridge! Chalet Aline in St. Florence is a good alternative and there is another in St Florence where I have never stayed on 132. There is a spot in Casaupscal at Motel Vallon I find great for upper river fishing. If you are on Glenn Emma, it's the hotel in Matapedia, or St Florence. I like chalet Aline because it's on the river. (book early). Joyeaux noel

The ONLY place to stay on the Matapedia as far as cabins/chalets is Les Chalets .VERY clean and situated on Adams Pool Ste Florence. Aline and Michel Pelletier are exceptionally warm and friendly hosts and Michel is a VERY passionate fisherman .
The cabins @ Routierville are sadly not the same as in the 80's .
