Anyone hear if the fishing has picked up? I heard that they are getting some rain now? Does the grand typically fish well after rain?

Just got back to the Matane. Water is very low once again. Water came up and went down quickly after the recent rains of a week ago.

While driving yesterday, it poured all through NY State, Montreal and Quebec making the long drive quite difficult at times. But when we got past Riviere d' Loop the rained peetered into a mear drizzle at best and stopped by the time we hit Ramouski.

The weather reports here have been calling for rain, yet it seems the Jet Stream on the Gaspe steers the storms south, missing the north coast, and perhaps much of the south coast. Updated forcasts show deminishing amounts of expected rain fall.

This morning it started raining, then went to a drizzle and now has stopped. We desperately need a good day of constant rain at the very minimum.

Monday we are going to N. Richmond to fish the Petite for a few days. Hopefully they will be getting more rain than us here in the north.
