I need to give Emily a headcount by tomorrow. Please respond only if you are 100% for this Saturday 9am @ Morris Island. BYO lunch. If you want to be fishing down there earlier NP I will walk the group down to the bluffs.

There are 10-15 pairs.

BB day plan:

(forum guys fish early in area - lighthouse or Morris Is)

08:45: Juro and (optional) late Forum Arrivals will meet Emily and BB's at Wildlife Refuge HQ

(some of you prefer to be down there fishing already so I will escort the BB group)

09:00: Group will walk down to Morris Island Bluffs to greet fishermen

(brief presentation on fishing and safety)

12:30: Lunch / Award Ceremony at Morris Island

13:00: Group will walk back to Refuge for National Park Staff event

(forum mentors are free to stay and fish the flood - also Keith can be hired to shuttle anglers over to SB / NM from 1p to 5p for those interested)

Look your best - there may be photo coverage by the Cape Cod Times.

If you want to be immortalized with a pink sluggo, that's totally up to you! :lildevl:

Just spoke with BB/BS -

Perhaps due to hard times we will only have 7 BB pairs + staff. So for the first time ever, the Forum mentors will outnumber the participants!

If anyone will have difficulty attending, I'd like to save your generous offer to be a mentor for next year when I hope things are back up to the high numbers we've experienced in the past for this event.

Anyone?

we can take turns fishing then, and if one of us catches a fish we can pass the rod to the shorts :chuckle:

Juro, I'll bow out this year, and save it for next year. An early rising tide with a couple of buds makes the decision more palatable.

Juro... I am suppost to fish from a boat in the area from 6am to 9....I am expected to be dropped off on the MI beach around 9:30am. I can still show up despite not having an assignment. Maybe take some of the kids for a quick ride around the tub.
