I'll keep it short... UDL, incoming tide, 10 keepers, 33" to a personal best. And I was stuck in work all day. FishHawk landed 10 keepers this morning and a personal best 39" striper. WOW, ten keepers from 33" to 39". What can I say, outstanding FishHawk!!! :smokin:
Wow, congratulations Bill! I was just up the beach from Bill and my total was four 26-27 inch bass. He's got the mojo.

You are da man Bill! Was the tolulene smoke aka brown stiffy involved in any of this action? Glad to hear of your great success you deserve it.

Geez, Bill, can't leave you alone for a second ! Nice going: days like that stay with you forever.

Alright Bill :) You are a fish magnet. Your awesome presence must have pulled those big fish down the beach from Simms eh?
Nice fishing. Roll on Wednesday...!

I'll bet there will be about twenty cars lined up waiting for the Fish Hawk to leave his residence after coffee for fishing in the morning. Binoculars will be trained on his fly rod to view the secret 'brown one' and the passengers of said vehicles will be ready on the vises. Transponders may have been placed on his Toyota in the event his swift and stealth hybrid flying prowness get away eludes the masses! Hey Bill...is that cloaking device up and running?
Way to go my friend! Living the dream that was a long time in coming. That's going to be hard (for anyone) to top! Wish I'd been there to witness that!

wow, thats some day.
nice one Bill, I'm guessing the brown stiffy is what i've been calling the CSJ Sandeel - I killed them last year with that fly after Cousin Craig showed it to me :)

Great stuff Bill - I gotta take a look at that secret fly sometime

Those days don't happen very often. Like the old saying,"You should have been here yesterday" well I was there on the right day and hit paydirt.:smokin:
Fish were tight to shore only about a foot away. FishHawk

Fishhawk, you old fish magnet you. What a day! I hope you have it burned into your memory.

Fishhawk, it just struck me: those big fish were clearly favoring owners and snubbing renters. Were they wearing blue blazers, Topsiders w/ no socks; any ivy league rings on the pectorals?
If I fish right next to you and wear a club tie, do you think I can fool them?
06-27-2009, 03:44 AM
Your tie will have to be brown. LOL!
