Finally got a reliable source out there fishing today. Other than battling the wind, he said the fishing was great. Lots of fish in mid to upper 20s and he saw quite a few large fish. Some major changes to the channel between the Monomoys, mostly that it now splits the flat into two sections. He did walk out to the far west side to fish around Minimoy and that channel enterance and also lots of fish in the pond area between N and S Monomoy. Fish were hot for a crab pattern worked on the bottom today. He told me the fish do have a hard time coming on to the flats during the in coming, due to all the high spots created from all the wind and wave action over the winter. Fish will be working the flow and suddenly get stopped from a dam of sand in the middle of the channel they are following.

Last reliable person out there reported good numbers of fish on May 20th, but they had lock jaw with the incoming cold front.

That's the latest, hope that helps answer some of your questions.

Thanks Capt - what are you running for a shuttle schedule this time of year? I'm itching to get out there.

I ve been doing the 8am and a pick up at 4pm. I have been doing a mid day drop and pick up as needed, but those that have gone out stay all day.

That's definitely the plan for me (8-4). There is a British mini-invasion in two weeks (13th), then another full-house rental on the 20th for which I assume both parties (and I use the term loosely) will all be up for a NM flats exploration.

That sounds great.I plan on one trip to Sb and then another to NM this weekend.
