Two weeks and some stable weather = good bonefishing. The best part was that there were not too many other anglers around.

Try and spot this guy at 50' over the turtlegrass

Vince,

What superb photos you take! Obviously, your talent with a camera is the key factor, but what camera/lense are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Pic #5
That must be a school of a few thousand fish. Are they bones?
They look a bit like mullet to me.

Great pics Vince.

I am glad that you have had some good weather.

This year so far for me has been a disaster weather wise.

(pilchards, and they turn the wrong corner and any tarpon in the area will explode them)

Glad to hear you had a good trip to my favorite Bahamian Island.

Last spring, I heard a song at the "Friday night Fish Fry" in Govenors Harbour...the lyrics sang about "Bonefish Dundee"...for the life of me. endless internet searches and downloads, I couldn't find that song.

Did you happen to hear it?...I'd love to have a copy of that track!.

How was the "Ocean-side" fishing this trip?. Did you have calm enough conditions to exploit the cruisers that patrol the surf curls on the Atlantic side?

How's about any "alternative" species caught?...any Albies?...Big Jacks or Snappers/Groupers make your trip especially memorable?

Thanks for the report!

Henry, I think I have heard that song! I'll look for it to.

I did get some good fish along the atlantic beaches, and spent time on some atlantic side flats.

Did catch an almaco jack--a first for me. My 6 year old son also got one on the spinning rod on his own. Apparently they are loners.
Got some other nice jacks up to 4-5 lbs--nothing huge.

Was messing around with my kids' spinning rod looking for snapper for dinner, and jumped a 100lb tarpon. Got 4-5 jumps out of him before the line broke. First and only tarpon I've ever seen on Eleuthera.
