: Head west young man...

Rhody Fest is our act of heading west with the migration, a sensible plan for this time of year. I'm taking it a little further this year and will be somewhere in the wilds of British Columbia for that weekend. It was a hard decision, it's not easy to miss a clave that marks the end of such an incredible season... but on the other hand I have forgone my fall excursions to the PNW for two years past and I don't want to miss a third.

Since I don't do all the heavy lifting at these claves anyway I'm sure Al, Terry, GregO, The fabulous Estes Bros, Sully, in fact everybody - will pitch in and make this the best clave of the year. The generosity of people who bring their boats is greatly appreciated and enhances everybody's experience. I will definitely miss it but I've fished my brains out with you guys this year... and all I can say is THANK YOU for the best SWFF season I've ever had. Most importantly it's far from over!

Steelhead water runs in my blood and the fresh, young ruggedness of the northwest has permeated my soul. I can not deny my destiny to be connected with the region, it's flora and fauna, and it's character as a geographic wonder. My only regret is that I can't be both places at once. Unfortunately I can't, and this one's for steel.

See you guys this weekend,

Ok guys ...go..put on your Borg suits and grab Juro. "You will be assimilated...resistence is futile".
Seriously, you will be missed, but we'll Clave on!
Al, I'll due my best begging routine to get to this one.
