: Kyhnau (Lars) this years Forum GQ Winner
Please congratulate Lars for his perpetual indoctrination into the Forum's GQ Hall of Fame! He joins the likes of SteveO, Dave17, Nick Svencer in this most prestigious accomplishment.
This year's requirements have been tougher than ever:
must have photographic proof of pretty lady friend in remote fishing destination - check.
Must have reverse raccoon tan of epic proportions - check.
Must have smile that outshines a close up of a flats shark - check. :lildevl:
I'll have to set up a GQ page to get all these mugs up alongside.
Congratulations Lars and keep the wild tales coming.
Nice pics! Welcome...the list is short and not very distinguished!

I will never make this prestigious list.....
01) Pretty Girl...yaaaa right that'll happen at my age
02) Bad Burn.. Mediterranean background protects me
03) Picture with Fish!! ... yaaa right that'll happen...
Life is so unfair...
I dunno Frank - you were a domino STUD at the off-the-chain bar.

Thank you, thank you and thank you!
I am very honoured!
Now, pardon my ignorance and help now what GQ means (Im from Denmark remember). Google came up with a list of suggested abrevations, but none seemed very suited for an award on a flyfishing forum :chuckle:
GQ stands for "Gentleman's Quarterly"... I guess it's an American magazine! :)
Here's SteveO's moment in the sun:

I remember you as having longer, red hair, and and a much biger cup size !!:hihi:
Juro's insight is spot on! I'm envious that you took the initiative to do what you did, and congratulate you. Narrative and pictures were superb.
Frank, you and I are over the hill, but that doesn't mean that we are done traversing the world for the ultimate fishing destinations.

Jim you are correct...its more of a beginning than an end...I have fished with you and have to admit you are tough to keep up! Don't know how you do it!
If things work out, by the end of the year I will have all the free time I need.
Its a bit unnerving but I welcome the challenge.
Hope to follow in yours and Lars footsteps and go to some of the great places I have only read about....and to return to some of the places I have been and love... Acklins is right up there Felton! So let us know more about your project.
Making my travel wish list now... suggestions gladly welcomed...

Great Juro - thanks... Im learning every day.
When will you have the Photoshop version ready? :smokin:
Haha Mark... My "lady friend" was very flattered.
Thanks Jim... I will have next part of the adventure ready in a few days. Btw, writing trip reports is a good way to re-live and dream back.
Felton, there will be report from Acklins as well in the nearest future :)
Frank, what about a trip to Denmark? On a good day and in the right season, its possible to catch both seaweed, starfish, a shopping trolley and if you are really lucky an old bike. We refer to that combination as "Danish Grand Slam" :chuckle:
Remember to lift sharks close to thier pectoral fins and hold tight.
Its difficult to combine with the "shark jump" but its not impossible :hihi:
Have a nice sunday!

Will look for your report(s) Lars. Trust we will hook up, while you are there.
If you wish, please PM your dates.
