I love when things go BUMP in the night...
and when the strip strike bottoms out on an immovable object... :whoa:
and when backing peels off into the darkness... :Eyecrazy:
She ate my BlackLucy, taped out at 40", and lived to fight another day... :D

There's a feeling I get...
It's about this coming weekend, every year, that I get less casual about preperation, leaders and knots. Friday night I'll rig up with purpose, choose my weapon with due consideration, tie up a fresh leader and tie a special fly on with a palomar instead the usual clinch knot. It's automatic, I just do it, and the following weekend I'll return to my casual ways.

Floating line......dead drift in total darkness......New Moon! All the right ingredients plus some Jungle Cock. Congratulations Pete.

For some reason that probably revolves around scent...or perhaps Border Collie MOJO...or both...
When my current black bucktail slides off my lap and on to the floor (as it does so often), Lucy is there in a flash to snaggle it away (must be extra funky)...
Doggie treat negotiations are my only recourse and not so secret weapon...
I'm currently workin' on prototype with Dingo idiosyncrasies in mind...
Leaning toward an "OliveDingo"..."DingoSaurus Jaws of Death" ...
'Coming soon to a creek near you!
'Photos at Eleven"...
"Floating line......dead drift in total darkness......New Moon! All the right ingredients plus some Jungle Cock. Congratulations Pete."
In a casual attempt to challenge some of the cool-aid drinking Striper Moonie "dogma", I will break from "tradition" and some of the golden "rules" of engagement...
Not quite a floating line and not a dead drift...a clear Airflo intermediate with a slow return across the creek and through a channel cut (suspected ambush point)...
You got the New Moon correct (big tide!) but...
Not so totally dark...The area was annoyingly illuminated by a bank of stupid lights from a motel on the far side of the creek...I need a ball cap to keep see the water!
DE JA VU!!!
