To Simsie and the other Penn massive.

March 4th 1681: Charles II grants William Penn, a quaker, a charter for a colony (Pennsylvania) in North America. It was granted in repayment for a 20,000 debt (around $20,000,000 today), which was owed to Admiral Penn (William Penn's father) by the King. One of the largest land grants in history, the area was named Pennsylvania (Penn's Wood)

Think it might have been named for Penn's lightbulb?
