Like the fullness of the body created by the bucktail and saddles. The realistic eyes and colors are superb. Wish you could super impose a pic of a real mackeral with the fly just to show how proportional you have it. I think you nailed it.

I'm interested to see how that works out. First of all, it's a fantastic looking fly and the colors are dead on, I also think the 3D eye is a plus for this type of bait. What about action, flatwings have that alive in the water look when worked slowly. I live line Macks in the Spring and generally these things don't sit still for long whether they've got a hook in the head or they are running in a school. You've got me thinking though, this year I'll try a slow twitch on a fast sinker in the school and see what happens.
