Was out in Plymouth this evening and came upon some surface activity on the back of the beach. 5" super fas pogies shooting through and out of the water like jets. My wife put a cast in and hooked something substantial so I coached her through the fight. Turns out to be a 10-12lb big ole scary bluefish. Though the shore crowd might be interested in this. 6am on the back of the beach might just give you a surprise as these guys were an easy fly cast from shore where it drops right off into the channel. Red #14. I had to boogie but would thing the big bass will find this school of poges.
