it's not all about the fishing. Took a few minutes after a great day on the water this week to watch this beauty come home to port.

She motored past us Friday morning last week heading out to sea.
No sails rigged. This was off Pt. Jude. She come out of Newport.
Does anyone know her name or port of call?

How right you are Sean! There is so much more to this wonderful obsession we call "sport" or "hobby" than just chasing fish. Of course it's pure gravey when the fish show up in numbers and ready to eat as they have recently.
My son Joel took this pic on Monday. I believe it is the same ship in your photo. I plan to keep this photo around for along time to remind me of a phenomenal day spent on the water with my boys. The pic will always evoke memories of the salty smell of a southwest wind blowing from Block Island, the sound of seagulls, surf and screaming drag and the sight of beaming faces and ear to ear grins.:smokin:

That is awesome! I also saw a rigger a couple of weeks back off of Watch Hill and had to take a pic even though I was some distance away from it.
They are beautiful vessels even if I can't wrap my head around the whole idea of sailing.....

I believe that is the same one. She has been touring around RI for about a month now.
