Hi,
My family and I will be staying in Sequim, Washington the first week in August. I was wondering if anyone had some advice about places I could fly fish for trout on my own in the area? I will have a car and a full day. Is the Elwa or it's tribs fishing OK at that time of year? Thanks!

Upper Elwha is a trout heaven. Also may have some searun cutts in the lower river, certainly will be some steelhead and kings in there too but don't hook one on a trout rod :Eyecrazy:

Also will be coho on the strait. Not far to the Sol Duc and Hoh (Bogey, Calawah) if you want some more serious steelheading opportunities.

Drive to the fly shop in Port Angeles and talk to Dave for the inside skinny.
