Whats an easy way of telling what sex is a trout? Iv been told males have a longer lower jaw (beak type) and a more triangular head, while females have a more rounded head and a longer upper jaw with no beaks.
Is this so? any clues?
cheers

Boy, you sure picked a wonderful header for your thread. You'll get many more hits than if you had led with "Trout and Gender."

Head conformation is a good clue. It gets much easier as spawning time approaches. Immature fish are hard to sex -- mistakes will be made, even with larger fish.
