A few lears back there was a limited edition or a limited number of these reels re-introduced or re-made. They had 3 names, the Miramichi, the Margaree and one other. Each one was numbered and a different colour. The Miramichi is grey and one other is black and there might be a burgundy.
Does anybody know the third river, which colour is which, if they are sought after and what they go for today? Thanks for any help.

Someone I know (GG) still uses this reel (an original) routinely but not for Salmon. I would be interested to know if Hardy (now Cortland is in control I think) has parts for this model reel. That person takes very good care of the Reel And uses it for Striped Bass regularly because it holds so much line and backing and the drag is not overwhelming. Replacing the spring and drag would be a great improvement. Anyone have any idea whom to contact for Parts?

Hi Leo M,
Yes there were 3 reels, Marquis Salmon No. 1 units that were named after 3 famous Salmon rivers in Eastern Canada, the Miramichi, the Margaree and the Humber. The Miramichi was a Grey colour, the Margaree was Black and the Humber was Blue.
