Any other musicians coming?

I am bringing a couple of guitars, one acoustic and one electric with a small amp. I have a mike and stand but only the one small guitar amp.

I hear Adrian has a new guitar... and boy can he play.

BigDave says he might be doin some blues too, and if Dave17 can make it we are sure to have some good stuff going.

Phil I expect you to bring the harmonica.

Anyone able to sing let us know what tunes to learn ahead of time. Something about those California wines that makes the vocal cords limber up, more importantly the ears tolerant :)

Pete, its an Ausie/Aboriginal instrument that could only have come from that part of the world.

A Google search will yield some interesting results. I should have guessed there would be a huge industry out there - thanks to the Web :smokin:

I believe that I can sing when I' m drunk; other people might considerthe sound of someone strangling a cat. How about "Whiskey in the Jar" ?:hihi:

We are going to need Lefty for this one...

As I was going over the far famed Kerry mountains
I met with captain Farrell and his money he was counting.
I first produced my pistol, and then produced my rapier.
Said stand and deliver, for I am a bold deceiver,

musha ring dumma do damma da
whack for the daddy 'ol
whack for the daddy 'ol
there's whiskey in the jar

I counted out his money, and it made a pretty penny.
I put it in my pocket and I took it home to Jenny.
She said and she swore, that she never would deceive me,
but the devil take the women, for they never can be easy

I went into my chamber, all for to take a slumber,
I dreamt of gold and jewels and for sure it was no wonder.
But Jenny took my charges and she filled them up with water,
Then sent for captain Farrel to be ready for the slaughter.

It was early in the morning, as I rose up for travel,
The guards were all around me and likewise captain Farrel.
I first produced my pistol, for she stole away my rapier,
But I couldn't shoot the water so a prisoner I was taken.

If anyone can aid me, it's my brother in the army,
If I can find his station down in Cork or in Killarney.
And if he'll come and save me, we'll go roving near Kilkenny,
And I swear he'll treat me better than me darling sportling Jenny

Now some men take delight in the drinking and the roving,
But others take delight in the gambling and the smoking.
But I take delight in the juice of the barley,
And courting pretty fair maids in the morning bright and early

Indeed. Though I am more of a bourbon man- scotch makes you want to sit around a smoky fire in a dank hut ( and I'm part scots) and complain, bourbon makes you want to start your own country.:lildevl:

I've become very fond of cactus juice lately. Recently fallen in love with PR rum. High end vodka is clean and direct.

Vodka makes me stupid, tequila makes me dance and rum makes me miss fishing in the morning.

Hey Jamie, you'll have to stop by our 'fish camp' (a.k.a. Tanqueray Central from May through July :smokin: ) for an aperitif before the main event on Saturday.

Fresh limes are readilly available from Stop 'n Shop :D

Haven't played the guitar since high-school. So, I'll have to bring some Vermont micro-brews and Green Mountain Gringo Salsa instead.

How about a nice pint of the "Dark Darty Stoof" (aka: Guinness).
Ah yes, a mighty seisuin is a brewin. That is indeed "Whiskey in the Jar".
But I'm only allowed to play that one 15 times per year and I used them up during St. Paddy's week. Anyway, I would love to grab a pint with you guys. I had to miss my annual prilgrimage to the Ol' sod this year so maybe I can sneak down for some fishin.

Sounds great.

Also guys don't forget to bring 6 flies for the annual yardstick contest.

The site is offered free 24/7 (well almost hehe) and it's very important to get this event on the right track. For one thing it will really help keep things interesting through the season. It will provide good content - images and conversation.

Most importantly it will heighten collaboration on what we do (make us a little smarter) and raise the camaraderie a notch, as high as it already is.

Thanks.
