Hi everyone,

I just moved to Medford, Oregon, from Montana, and am serious about getting into steelhead fly fishing. I bougt a 7 wt rod that I have already hooked and landed 1 28" winter steelhead on since I've been here, but it was on a stream about 4 hours away. I would like to get to know the upper Rogue, and possibly the Applegate, so I don't have to go so far to catch a steelhead. I've heard that not many fish are in the upper Rogue yet, but if anyone has any advice, I would be happy to hear it.

I am used to indicator fishing with weighted nymphs/egg patterns if that helps

Thanks,

Kell

Don't have any advice, but there are several regular posters from your area who should reply soon. Check with the local fly shops, of course.

Meanwhile, welcome to the Forum,

Cheers,

Eric
