This week I discovered the joys of bass fishing on fly.
I was actually quite surprised to have caught a few. So being a novice and having spent most of my time enticing trout, I was wondering if anyone had some advice or tips to give on how to entice them a little bit more, weather it is retrieve or flies.

The weather we’ve been having has reached a sweltering 30 degrees Celsius.

Thanks

Lots of past threads of chasing down bass on the fly here and quite a few patterns over on the fly archive.

My personal favorite way to target them is with top water patterns - poppers/gurglers/sliders - explosive takes and acrobatics make for a lot of fun.

I agree with Adrian that the most fun is with topwaters. If your weather is that hot down there, I'd suggest trying to fish at low light (dawn, dusk, or even night). If you fish during the day, fish areas of shade, or if shade isn't readily available, fish deeper structure with sinking flies that have plently of movement.

There have been entire books written on the subject, but like Adrian said you can look at the archives here to find lots more info.

Have fun.
