I've just started winter fishing for sea run browns and have found it to be a blast. I have been intending to take it up for a long time but never got around to it. I've done real well though fishing tiny nymphs off the bottom and until a week or so ago it was good fishing. The 6th it was 70 deg. and the water was a bout 45 and I caught 8 nice fish. dropped half a dozen and lost one that I thought was he bottom at first and couldn't turn without pulling out the fly. From what I saw I am hopfully imagining it to be a large bright fish about 3 or 4 pounds.
The plan is to catch a trout every month this year. We'll see. One thing is for sure I'll do a lot more winter fishing in the future.

I was fortunate enough to get into some of that fishing when I lived in Maine. It's remarkable to say the least, and I wish that I had done more of it.

Glad to hear that you've found a reliable fishery.
