Hey I want to ask the gang a favor... not for me but for John.

He's having a bit of a time since losing his wife and mother and the best thing we can do is to show up at his place to watch the Patriots game on Sunday.

He is currently in the hospital for treatment but will be home in time for the game. Chinese take out and pizza just down the street.

Who's with me on this? I will PM the address to you... please let's do it for the CAC master.

BTW he has a ginormous HD tv that puts the local bars to shame.

Juro-I'm in- I'll be spending the AM and early afternoon with the folks up in Georgetown (North Shore), but can't watch the game with them and still make it back to the Cape at a reasonable hour. Winchester is alot closer to the Cape, and apart from my dad and brothers I can't think of anyone I'd rather watch the game with than his ahnuh the mayuh.....maybe some of the "babblin' Franks" will join us. PM me the address, and I'll bring some Ipswich Ale:Eyecrazy:

Juro, please tell John that I'll be watching the game and I'll be with you guys in spirit because the body is stuck in the cold!
Hoist a wee-un for me as I will for you folks.

Juro- is this still a go? If so, please PM me the address ASAP so I can print up directions before it gets to be time for me to leave my folks' place. If not, let's see if he'd be up for a Super Bowl shindig- Pats vs Bears?:D

Good watching the game with you guys yesterday! The outcome was not what I hoped or expected but there is good in all of it I guess. As flydoc said if it were not the Pats playing I would have been rooting for Tony Dungy and his gang after what they've been through. I also hoped New Orleans' joy could continue to the big dance.

Juro- Thanks for "guiding" me to John's place after my navigational skills suffered a serious meltdown on the way there...had a great time once I finally arrived...too bad the Pats couldn't pull it off again, but when I saw Payton Manning shake off that jammed thumb rather than go into his usual "choke" routine, I had a sneeking feeling that the Pats' dominance of the Colts was at an end. As with last year, I'll be routing for the AFC in the Big Show...already got an invite from my partner/doc to watch it over at his place....he's from Pittsburgh, so for the last two years we took turns cheering each others teams to Super Bowl wins...get to play "uncle" to his three rowdy boys during commercial breaks and halftime...always a good time!:hihi:

We need to get the Mayor over here to watch a proper sporting event; the cricket seasons starts in a few more months.

Jamie- I think his honor would find Irish rugby far more entertaining:lildevl:

Well the six nations kicks off soon and the Irish are favourites to win that one. A lot to be said for a day sipping beer watching the cricket though.

Jamie- I've never had a chance to watch cricket, but I'm a huge fan of its American cousin- BASEBALL. Go Red Sox!!!!
