: Need Acklins adventurers
We have some members who are trying to get a group together for a week of incredible bonefishing in Acklins.
This is the most affordable, mind-blowing raw unadulterated pure bonefishing stuff you can imagine.
Reply to this post if you are interested in doing something this Feb / March timeframe and we will put some trips together.

I could be up for a trip in the second half of March.
What days are available?

I know I shouldn't ask. How much moneys would one need to go on a trip like this. I'm already scheduled for a salmon trip to the pm in Michigan this fall. Money is tight this year so I would need an about price before I get my hopes up and the guts to ask my wife. :hihi: I've checked on plane tickes from atl but would like to know cost ounce there.
You will be included in a private discussion area - the ridiculous bonefishers. Talk to you there.

Please let me know the particulars. My trip to Belize got scuttled, again, and I'am frothing at the bit to try out my new Loop LW on a bonescreamer. I may be able to swing it during that time period.

We are three Norwegian friends who are going down to Acklins to try out the bonefishing DIY-style, between the 10th and the 24th of this February. As the three of us are not on our home turf in these waters, I was hoping that you would be able to answer a couple of questions to help us along...
Here I go,
Is the tide table for Datum Bay accurate for all of Acklins or is there a noticeable time-difference anywhere on the island?
When is the fishing best during the day?
Are there any hotspots that you would be willing to share for tarpon/permit on the island?
Finally, where do I sign up to buy the DVD from your trip down there?
Appreciate any advice you are willing to share! Hope to see some of you guys down there!

I'm not the expert, but here's my input:
Tide table for Datum can vary considerably from bight side, especially the further up island you go. The flows in and out of the various creeks/estuaries can make it even more confusing.
Rising tide at first light = tailing fish
Don't know that there really are any "hot spots" for tarpon or permit on Acklins. Tarpon have been random and scattered. Permit seem to be where I'm not! Although in general I think we've seen most at or near the points by the various creek mouths.
I don't know the status of Juro's DVD
Best advice is hook up with a guide or someone who can speed up your learning curve, like Bob Berquist or Hank at Top Choice Lodge.
Where are you staying? Will you have a vehicle or a boat?
Martin - your partner got to me first, talk to him about the details. Maybe see you there.
