Got out for a couple of hours after the deluge subsided and managed to catch a rainbow trout and a few pickerel at a local lake. I was casting a black bead-head wooley bugger around a culvert where a stream-fed backwater joins the lake. While I was there, a spin fisherman caught a brood stock salmon on the lake side of the culvert. Would have been nice to get that on the fly rod!
Not today...but I hope to get out tomorrow for some stripers that have turned back and are saying "To hell with the migration this year, to far to go, and I like the weather up here":biggrin:
I never did get out this morning...Needed to cut the lawn before the Pats Game:biggrin:
