Has anyone ever used power pro (braided line):lildevl: for leader. I've got a problem having reds break my mono on oyster beds.

I have never used PP for a leader. I suspect that it wouldn't bee great for that application. First off, the leader is a crucial part of a good cast. Without out the stiffness, I think that the cast would end in a tangled mess.
I also think that if you planned on using a mono leader, you would have to deal with very poor knot strength. I think that the best most people can get is around 80% mono to spectra. This is why 20# PP tests at over 30#. To make up for the crap knot. Don't believe the hype uni to uni is not that strong.

Braided line is known for it's lack of abrasion resistance when compared to mono. That is why most use a long mono leader when fishing the Cape Cod Canal(which is loaded with mussel beds) with braid as primary line for its sensitivity due to lack of stretch.
