At least as of noon, no one at the Veazie Club had landed a fish. One fish was raised early this morning in the 2nd pool below the dam. According to my source, lots of black bear green butts flying around. Hope to get out one morning next week before work. More reports as they become available.:D
Great to hear that the season opened as planned.
My schedule is caving in quickly but I still hope to get up there asap. Please keep us posted on the goings on, and pictures are highly appreciated :)

Today's cover story from the Bangor Daily News
Spoke with a friend of mine last night- by the end of the day three or fish raised, none landed. I will get out probably twice before work next week. As more info becomes available; I'll post.

I heard they were closing the river for high water temps today, any confirmation?

Not that I know of; I'll get some better G-2 tomorrow.

Confirmed through reliable source- closed due to high temps. DIFW is looking at some "turkey hunting" type of day, so everyone is off the water by 10 am. I'll let y'all know how it progresses.
That dashes any thoughts of this weekend for me... last thing I want to do is hook a rare american salmon in warm water.
Let's see how things progress as the deadline approaches.

Back open as of today on a day-to-day basis. Weather has big cool down coming in for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Thanks titleguy! Looks like we'll get on the river afterall.
Also get the impression it's not a mob scene either which is nice.
