Tying flies for the Miramichi in the Fall, this is a new pattern to me, I used it last year in the evenings with one fish taken.

Interesting fly. It would be nice to have the dressing posted though for those who might wish to tie it. Thanks in advance for providing it.

Beautiful fly! Not just to the eye, this is sure to be a working pattern too.

One question per the pheasant... they appear to have the shape of jungle cock feathers... is this just careful selection or did you 'shape' them?

thanks in advance

I try choose/shape them to the right size, I use a little wetted fingers to shape them, just like I do for a lot of collers/ hackle to get them to go the right way.

This fly has been around for a while and on the Miramichi in Fall orange is a great color ( plus the river is known as a black river where you always want some black in your fly).
