Brand New in the tube with the warranty card Sage 586-4 XP. Only been out of the tube a few times and never been fished, bought as a gift for my brother but he ended up already having one so I need to get rid of it. Brand new with rod sock and tube, asking $500 since I bought it brand new and is in perfect condition, will pay for shipping within the US. Contact me at everest2209@aol.com.

Sage is closing the XP.series out you may want to look around on the net a little and reconsidering your price.

Zugbugz, about the same response I had when I heard the news.
Look around on the net a bit.a lot of the shops have already started deeply discounting the XP.series.I have seen brand new XP's selling at the big online auction going for 350.00 buy it now. here is a link to moer on it.

Well, it looks like you guys are right! I wonder what Sage has in the works to replace it ...I really don't understand why Sage would discontinue what is probably the best selling fly rod around (at least for them, anyway)...I can only imagine it's replacement would have to be some kinda fantastic rod to fill the XP's shoes.:Eyecrazy:

2fly4, if you are familiar with Ebay, you could probably put it on auction and get up to about $425 and $15-20 shipping right now. That's what I've seen as far as prices. You might get lucky and get a bit more, but not much. I recently bought the same rod (at a local fly shop) and unfortunately, paid full price for it...had no idea at the time Sage was discontinuing it...luck of the draw, I guess!
