A common method of straightening feathers to natural forms and curvature is to <b>hold it in the steam of a tea kettle</b>. I've had best results using gentle steam, the geyser is a bit too much for a golden pheasant tippet.

I use one of the old oil cans with the flexable spout ! It only take a miute to heat up and you can aim it right at the featers and not steam your fingers !! you can also use it to clean flies after use
