While checking out the fly fishing section of a newy opened Gander Mountain store last spring, I ran across the Daiichi model 2461 black thin wire, wide gapped, ringed eyed Aberdeen style hook that immediately rang my "bomber bell. The ringed eye was a bonus, as it is my favorite eye configuration for dry flies. I tied a bunch of small size 2 bombers for an Atlantic salmon fishing trip to the Pinware River. They worked beautifully. Now I've got to get some larger sizes (they go up to 6/0) to make some bigger bombers for a June trip to the Gaspe rivers.
