Although not cast in stone, this is the planned menu. Thanks Jim for getting my butt in gear!

Dinner Programme:

1) $15 per person (see below), BYOB except spring water provided. You will receive a meal ticket when you pay. Each ticket has two halves.

2) All participants must bring a favorite fly to the dinner. Vote for best fly with one half of your ticket by placing it into the ballot. Fly ballot with the most votes eats free.

3) Appetizers and desserts are pot luck. Each pot luck contribution will have a ballot. Vote with the other half of your meal ticket by placing it into the ballot next to the plate. Keep the other half. Pot luck contribution with the most votes keeps the fly box (and 35 flies).

Sounds great! Is dinner Friday or Saturday? I won't be arriving until around 1:00 am on Friday.

If dinner is on Saturday I plan on being there to help with all the preparation.

Directions to Stone Horse:

Coming from the bridge: Take exit #10 rte 124, head south to Main St, go left in Harwich center on Main then a right on Chatham road (angles off to right) all the way to Route 28.

Take a right on 28 and Stone Horse is a stone's throw on the right.

Coming from lighthouse:

Route 28 to the Harwich line, Stone Horse on right.

To avoid Chatham Center traffic you can either continue north on Shore Road past the Chatham Bars Inn and go left at the sign or take Bridge St to come up to 28 from the south and avoid the tourist congestion.

Of course Squire's is smack dab in the middle of that congestion so it helps to learn the little ins and outs of parking in town etc. Squire's parking is easiest out back or if full there is a municipal lot down the street and one across from Monomoy Cafe next to the Impudent Oyster.

Are there any informal plans for gathering at the Stone Horse Fri nite prior to "blitzing" an eatery or is it catch as catch can. As a newbie I know no-one and am not that familiar with Chatham. I had hoped to be at the "Horse" by noon Fri but now it looks as if it may be mid afternoon...depends when I get up and get started from NY. Have to swing by cottage in Mashpee to pick up what I forgot to bring home last weekend !!! Anyone checking in can look for a grey, Nissan PU with cap and NY plates. Am thinking I will make a dry run to Rip Ryder sometime Fri afternoon then maybe try to get a line tight. What time does Rip Ryder depart in afternoon for shuttle pick-up?

Juro,

No problem with moving the shuttle to 8 am on Sunday. No need to stress people out on getting to bed early for the shuttle. I need the 7 am trip more during the week so I can keep working on the new craft.

Will there be only one shuttle time? 8 am for multiple trips if necessary and only one return time?

The shuttles will be at 7 am with a pick up at 5 pm during the week. Depending on how much work I get done on the new boat during the week will determine howmany runs I do on the weekends. This will remain like this till the end of June or unless we get ahead of schedule and then I will re post a change in the schedule. Search this forum I put up a post about a month ago explaining everything.

OK, I am aware of the previous post. I thought you had something more specific in mind for the coming weekend.

Does the winner get the flies as well or are they just for picking a winner of the meal?

The best appetizer or dessert wins the flies, as determined by the number of flies in the ballots.

I am bringing a variety of NY wines...hope there will be some that will partake. Assume that we may have some sort of an "ice breaker" Fri nite before dinner where cheese and crackers could be washed down. Anyone want to commit to a time and place?
