Anyone using the new Temple Forks TiCr X rods? I'm looking to purchase a travel rod for a Bahamas trip. I like the price of these rods..... just not sure of the quality.
FWIW: my other rods are Sage RPLX and SP. As well as Orvis Trident (all 2 piece). I do have a Temple Forks 14 wt. that I like for tuna.
Thanks in advance
If you are looking for a rod in that price range you can't beat TFO for bang for buck, and since Lefty joined their brainstorming team things shot up to the next level.

I picked up a TiCr-x 8 wgt last year for Acklins. Very nice casting rod for the money. Hardware is on the low end, especially the reel seat, but a nice rod none the less.

I have a TiCrx and TiCr in the 8wt. I prefer the non-x as a bonefish rod. It's a little faster (not much) and loads a little easier (not that the x is difficult). With the short head of a bonefish line the TiCr will load nicely with an 8 wt floater.

I'll try to find a local shop that carries the line ...... so I can test drive one.
Thanks again for the great advice.:D
