When I hit the water for a shakedown run on Sunday I realized my port trim tab was stuck in a partially extended position and neither would respond to the switch. After pulling the fuse back at the dock I realized it was blown and replaced it. That solved the starboard tab but the port tab would still not move. After talking with a few friends and reading some material on Lenco's site I decided to try and free the actuator by removing the lower pin that connects the arm to the tab. I then manually turned the arm to try and free it. This worked and freed the seized motor. While testing both tabs I now realized the starboard tab switch was not as responsive as the port and felt soft. I called Lenco today and after describing my issues they agreed to send a new actuator and new switch panel. Overall, I am pleased with their customer support. They didn't ask for proof of purchase or really push back when I voiced my concerns about being on the water and having issues 15 miles from the dock. Install on both replacements look pretty easy even for a neophyte such as myself.
