: Hoh de-briefing

I just spent five days on the Hoh and the Bogi, and in all five days even with some concerted looking and stealth full peering into really good holding water I didnít see one fish. I spent most of the time swinging big bunny leaches with a type six or eight sink tip through really juicy looking water without a bump. I will confess it was the first trip to the OP and I did land one sort of smallish wild Steelhead on the Hoh. Im looking for a little de-briefing on fishing those streams. I know that winter Stealhead fishing is tough and I cant expect to even hook a good fish without having put in my time on the rock pile. So what are good conditions for swinging flys on these rivers. Or is it just hit and miss until you hit it right.
