Does anyone use this hook for tying large dry flies? I am looking for something with a little bit wider gap than most hooks offer. This is a bass bug hook, but it may work for me as well...

Yes these have been a popular hook among steelheaders for wakers, rifflers and bombers for quite some time I think you will find them a good application for salmonid dry fly fishing.

one other problem i have been having is finding quality hackles to tie my dries with. I think i asked this before on here but i searched and couldnt find an answer.
does anyone have a good source for long quality hackles in orange, yellow, red and most importantly brown??? even a possble cape?
